How you got involved in your sport: I had been competing in track and field for 10 years and was approached by a Bobsleigh Canada recruiter at BC Junior Championships, next thing I knew I was racing in Europe.
The moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada: When I watched Donovan Bailey break the world record and win gold for Canada at the 96 Games, I started running basically that same day.

Who is one person in your life that has impacted your career and what was it that they taught you: My mother told me when I was 9 and competing in my first race to “just do your best” it seems so simple but there isn’t any point in worrying about outcomes or results. If you do your best the results will come.
