How you got involved in your sport: I got involved in my sport by joining my grade school track team in grade 1. By 12 years old I started training with a club team where I quickly picked up hurdling and have been hurdling ever since.
The moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada: I knew that I wanted to represent Canada on the Olympic stage after my first experience on the world stage at world juniors in 2003.

Share one valuable tool that you use on a daily basis that helps you to be the best athlete you can be. I like to remind myself that I work hard and deserve to be here (my current position ranked 12th in the world for woman’s hurdles)
Who is one person in your life that has impacted your career and what was it that they taught you? My parents, they have always supported and encouraged me in my dreams. They taught me to never give up and that there is a time for everyone to shine.
Have you read any articles or books or watched any videos or movies recently that really inspired you? There are a few movies that I have watched in the past that have inspired me to continue what I’m doing. Movies like The Blindside, Friday Night Lights, Remember The Titans and Radio all have a message that consists of following your dreams and standing upfor what you believe in, whether that be related to life or sport.
Fun Facts: I’m engaged to Canadian 100m sprinter Justyn Warner. I love reading and writing.
