How you got involved in your sport: My older sister and brother were already competing in
Kayaking.
The moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada: When I was 10 the 1996 Olympic Kayak Team trained out of my canoe club in Ottawa while they prepared for the Olympics. This is when I decided I wanted to be a national team Kayaker when I grew up.

CAN Fund Testimonial: I received CAN Fund in 2008 and it definitely helped my four man
Kayak team in our final preparation as a lead up to the Olympics in Beijing. We ended up
taking the final and placing 9th in our first Olympics. Thanks for your help!
Best Result: Bronze Medal at World Cup #3, 2010 in Duisburg, Germany.
Fun Facts: I study music at University and one day would like to pursue a career in the music
industry when I am finished my sport career. I play a few instruments and enjoy making fun music
videos for YouTube and performing live with my friends in the off-season.
