4 to 6 hours a day, 6 days a week
How does being a CAN Fund recipient make a difference for you?
Being a CAN Fund recipient this year is going to help so much in trying to qualify for the Tokyo Games. This money will not only allow to help pay for groceries, but will allow me to buy the foods that I know I need to eat to help me with training and performing. I will be able to purchase the supplements that I need, that I can not afford without this money. This takes a huge amount of pressure off and lets me to continue on trying to become one of the best rowers in the world. This is only done by taking care of small details every single day.
Biggest lesson you have learned to get to where you are today?
There are zero shortcuts to personal success. Straight hard work and attitude can’t be replaced by anything to become successful.
What is your favourite quote?
“How we spend our days is how we spend our lives” To most that quote won’t even make sense, but the way it was explained to me was done so in a way that had so many layers and great examples that its something I always come back to.
Who is your hero and why?
Kobe Bryant, he is the perfect example of how working harder than everyone usually leads to greater success. He is the athlete I look up to the most.
