How did you get involved in your sport?
My mom was a figure skater and still skated recreationally when I was born. She first put me on the ice at two years old. I don’t remember anything, but I’m told I absolutely hated it. My mom told me that once I learned how to stand up on skates, I could quit. By that time, I was in love!
What is your motto?
Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. – Eleanor Roosevelt
What was the moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada?
When I was 7 years old I told my mom I would go to the Olympics one day. She told me that not everybody could go there, and if I tried my best, that’s all that matters. I told her that somebody had to go, why couldn’t it be me?
