Best advice you have received?
You don’t get what you wish for; you get what you work for. These words are powerful and constant reminders to keep your eyes on the prize, and to always give everything you have.
What is the best part about representing Canada?
The best part of representing Canada is the collective community of support you have when you’re putting everything on the line during a competition. Being able to wear the maple leaf proudly, when things are going well or when things aren’t going as planned, you know there is tons of support every step of the way.
How does being a CAN Fund recipient make a difference for you?
Being a CAN Fund recipient will give me the opportunity to focus solely on my training, without having to worry about some of the expenses associated with my sport. The money will go towards team fees, monthly grocery bills, rent, therapy and more. Outside of receiving financial support, the CAN Fund community is a network of like-minded individuals chasing their dreams, and I am grateful to be a part of the legacy CAN Fund has established.
