How does being a CAN Fund Recipient make a difference for you?
Being a CAN Fund recipient makes a difference by helping me financially on training camps and races. It helps take the financial stress away from traveling.
What is your proudest moment?
Standing on the podium at the World Championships and waving to my parents.
What is one thing you have had to overcome and how did you do so?
I ruptured my spleen 12 weeks before the London Olympics, had it removed 9 weeks before and still competed at these Games. I overcame it by staying positive, determined and having a fantastic support team around me.
What does sport mean to you?
It means everything. I live for competition and striving to be the best I can possibly be while accomplishing my goals.
What is a healthy snack you eat before or after training sessions?
Peanut butter, honey and banana sandwich with a coffee.
What is your pre-game meal?
Spaghetti Bolognese

No time is better than a slow time.
Greatest advice a coach has ever given you?
You’re ready, just be natural and go.
What is your favourite thing about being on the road with your teammates?
Making fun of each other and laughing together at the hotel.
