Think of someone who has impacted your life. Share 3 words on who they are to you!
My great-grandmother

Strong. Generous. Powerful

What does being part of CAN Fund mean to you?
For me, being part of CAN Fund is all about believing in dreams and helping people believe in the possibility of dreams. Because what’s a world without dreams? Or even worse thinking we can’t achieve our dreams. I am immensely inspired by anyone who has a dream and is willing to pursue it. CAN Fund gives me the opportunity to help the dreamers show the world how amazing it is to take the journey to follow a dream. I want to help athletes have all the tools they need to discover their potential and uncover new parts of themselves.

Favourite quote:
“Mistakes are almost always of a sacred nature- never try to correct them” – Salvador Dali

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Heading into my first NCAA championships, my coach told me- Just do what you did to get here. You don’t have to put any extra pressure on yourself.

For me that was a reminder to trust myself and my preparation. I already got the magic, no need to look outside myself for more. I carried that with me into every major championship and every high pressure situation

Biggest lesson you have learned to get to where you are today?
Adaptability is a superpower. Things don’t always go as planned and knowing how to adjust to whatever is in front of you can make a huge difference. Don’t get too high, don’t get too low, just take the next best step and figure it out along the way.

Why are you proud to be Canadian?
I’m proud to be Canadian because it is full of diverse cultures. I consider myself fortunate to have learned about so many different cultures while growing up. I also love the fact that Canada is a country that truly cares about its citizens and provides a multitude of opportunities.
