When was the moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada?
When I began ski racing as a young kid, I began watching ski racing on TV. When I discovered para-alpine I knew this was the sport for me and that someday, with hard work and determination, I would be Ski racing gives me a sense of freedom that I thoroughly enjoy!
What advice would you give to young kids or teenagers about following their dreams?
Never let anyone tell you that you can’t. As the old saying goes, it’s not always going to sunshine and rainbows, but if you work hard and set your goals, it will be worth every moment- good and bad.
What three items do you take with you on every road trip?
- Gum I need to chew gum especially when I’m nervous
- Headphones – love to listen to music
- My cell phone – I use it as an assisted device to aid with my visual impairment as well as to connect with people etc.

Opportunity is often passed by because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
