What are your words to live by or your motto?
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

How did you get involved in the sport?
I started playing ice hockey competitively at a very young age. When I got to high school I needed a fall sport and field hockey felt like a pretty easy transition as there were quite a few similarities between the two games. I fell in love immediately and have never looked back.

What is your favourite TV series?
Grey’s Anatomy

Do you have any pre-competition superstitions or routines?
Getting my hair braided by teammate Dani Hennig; also a solid pre-game stretch/music jam session with the girls.

What is the best part about representing Canada?
Wearing the maple leaf, singing the national anthem proudly with my teammates and being a part of something that is bigger than myself.

What is the biggest hurdle you have overcome to get to where you are today?
Constantly being away from friends and family because our program is centralized far away from where I grew up. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing teammates I have had along the way.
