I almost started crying when I found out I was selected for the CAN Fund. I know that, now that I don’t have to worry so much about supporting myself on the little money I make swimming, I can focus my efforts on my ultimate goal: the podium in 2012.

Fun Facts:
I learned to play the guitar when I was injured and unable to train in 2009, and I use it as a stress-relief. I also enjoy writing both poetry and prose. I am a little bit superstitious and always wear the same green sports bra at swim meets and always have to have my fingernails and toenails painted before a meet. I lived in Texas for 5 years and am now a burrito connoisseur.
