Think of someone who has impacted your life. Share 3 words on who they are to you.
My parents: Resilient, Loving, and Driven.

My parents – Jeannette Malonda & Pamphile Buisa are my anchors, and they have impacted my life tremendously. Without their sacrifices, my sister and I would have never had all the opportunities that this country has to offer. They have always believed in me and have been my motivation. I am beyond grateful for them.

What is the best part about representing Canada?
The best part about representing Canada is being in a country that sees diversity as a strength and not a weakness. It is being able to wear the maple leaf and know that we are a nation composed of all sorts of people, and even with all that difference, it makes us whole.

Favorite TV Series?
Game of Thrones & Insecure

When did you know you wanted to represent Canada?
When I went to the Youth Olympic Games in 2014, I had the opportunity to wear the maple leaf. Once I had a taste of the dream, I wanted to make it a reality. Growing up watching Canadian women’s rugby be a force to be reckoned with, I knew that this journey was something I wanted to embark on.
