Testimonials:
Carla’s presence as a speaker was evident from the moment she began her story. She engaged the audience with both intensity and humour. Carla was charismatic in her delivery and built her story from the ground up. Carla’s story speaks to both the athlete and the person because she connects with her audience throughout her speech. She was clear in her presentation, her pictures added more than a 1000 words to her experience, and she kept the audiences’ attention throughout. When it came time to speak to her Olympic experience Carla built her story on determination, character, will, and above all, the strength required to be successful. Her hockey career may have ended but her story will live on through the hearts and minds of those she speaks to. Carla is a consummate representative of the Olympic dream and the dream of not only female hockey players, but athletes of all ages and sports. A great big thanks to Carla for sharing her narrative and hopefully her next “boot camp” will be from the coach’s chair!
