Favorite Sports Memory: Representing Canada at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It was a dream come true to represent Canada at the Olympics

How you got involved in your sport: Soccer runs in my family. I actually have 2 uncles that represented Canada on the men’s side, so naturally everyone in my family plays soccer. My older brother played so I followed him to practices and my parents recognized that I enjoyed the sport, so at the age of 4 they signed me up for on my first team.

The moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada: I had always dreamed of being an Olympian, and therefore always wanted to represent Canada, at the time I didn’t care what sport. In 2000 I was called into my first national team camp and it was then that I realized this is what I was meant to do.

CAN Fund Testimonial: CAN Fund allows Canadian athletes to focus and strive for their athletic dreams. Personally, CAN Fund is giving me the best opportunity to reach the podium in 2012.
Best Result: 4th at the 2003 Women’s World Cup.

-I have a pet dog, a Pomeranian named Nutmeg.
