Favorite Sports Memory: Vancouver 2010 was special because so many Canadians were passionate about sport, and their country.
How you got involved in your sport: I was introduced to the sport by my parents, and continued via local ‘learn to sail’, and ‘learn to race’ junior programs at a local club.
The moment you knew you wanted to represent Canada: After completing my first youth national championships in 1995.
CAN Fund Testimonial: The financial assistance from CAN Fund enables athletes like myself to solely focus on preparing for the 2012 Olympics. The funding increases training time and coaching hours, and allows me to compete at the highest possible level.
Best Result: 4th 2011 ISAF World Cup – Miami

Who is one person in your life that has impacted your career and what was it that they taught you? Many people have had a positive impact on my career and helped me at various times. I can’t single out a particular person and time, but my friends and family have always been incredibly supportive.

10. Fun Facts: I grew up ski racing before committing to sailing and still really enjoy skiing when I get the chance. I started road biking about 8 years ago, and recreationally race.
