Favourite Sports Memory?
Standing in the start gate at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. As my first Olympic experience, it was everything and more than anything I ever could have dreamed of. From the start, we could hear the crowd cheering at the bottom of the hill. I get emotional just thinking about and it serves me as a constant reminder how fortunate I am to have the support of so many, giving me the opportunity to follow my heart and my dreams.

How has being a Canadian athlete allowed you to give back to your community?
Growing up in a community that has given me so much support along the way means everything to me. Truth be told, I wouldn’t be where I am today if it hadn’t been for the endless sacrifices made by my selfless parents, the unconditional support of personal sponsors who have been there through thick and thin, and the always enthusiastic cheer from my home town people in Kelowna. Giving back in any way, shape or form has always been a high priority of mine. Whether it be through exceptional foundations such as KidSport and Fast & Female, or my own K-Ser Scholarship Fund I’ll forever be keen to encourage sport and development opportunities in my hometown and across Canada.
