On Sept. 9, the Canada-Israel Cultural Foundation hosted ISREELIZED, a star-studded TIFF party celebrating Israel’s film industry, at Toronto’s new hot spot Tryst Nightclub. On Sept. 9 and 16, the Canadian Athletes Now Fund (canadianathletesnow. ca) hosted “Gold Silver Bronze,” a benefit attended by Beijing athletes, medalists and coaches. The event was held at the Jane Roos Gallery on the Downtown east side and attendees were asked to make a minimum donation of $200. 2008 Olympic gold medal rowing coach Mike Spracklen and his wife Annie attended the Sept. 9 evening.
